RadioLIB creates awareness, identifies with other organizations to make the community stronger & is involved in activities that unite the community. RadioLIB is dedicated to building better Liberian communities in the Diaspora – and Liberia as well.

 

RadioLIB Sponsored Team "Love Beyond Borders" in collaboration with the Kingdom Builders Global Missions International - Benefit Concert & Art Exhibit: February 19th, 2012

 

RadioLIB provided media services to Team "Love Beyond Borders" in collaboration with the Kingdom Builders Global Missions International--Benefit Concert & Art Exhibit. KINGDOM BUILDERS GLOBAL MISSIONS INC. is a non profit faith base organization whose purpose is to is to meet people at the point of their need. KBGM INC. for short was birthed by Bishop Dr. Ernest Y. Dahn a few years ago during his numerous mission trips to Africa. A desire was placed in his heart by God to focus on World Missions, taking the help directly to the ones in need. KBGM Inc.'s goal is to treat each Mission individually, solving their specific  needs one at a time.


It's current mission is in South Africa where a growing congregation & community  in the rural & impoverished area of Brits Majakene, which is situated  some 26 kilometres from Pretoria, South Africa. At this time they're in need of an edifice & home for Pastor Mosolodi.They're currently worshiping in a tent that is tattered and falling apart. Pastor Mosolodi and his family lives in a 8' by 24' converted storage unit. The people of Brit has other physical needs as well. With  their meager resources they purchased land  and have the foundations dug waiting for materials to complete this project.


This is where sponsors & partners come in.  They are raising $70,000 USD for this mission. An estimated $50,000 goes towards the infrastructure & development and $20,000 for the proper equipments needed for this facility to meet the demand of this growing congregation of 300  & the community atlarge.

RadioLIB's 2011 "Toys for Joy" Campaign

This campaign was an effort to collect toys for distribution to underprivileged kids in Liberia for the 2011 Christmas Holiday. Many were part of this worthy cause by making monetary donations or toys & RadioLib will like to express sincere gratitude to all those who participated in this campaign in order to make it sucessful.

RadioLIB Sponsored The Checago Bright Foundation 1st Annual Gala - December 3rd, 2011

RadioLIB provided media services to The Checago Bright Foundation 1st Annual Gala in Columbia, MD.  According to UNDP, almost two third of Liberians live below poverty line; lacking access to electricity, clean water and sanitation facilities. Additionally, 3.5 Million People lives in Liberia but only 14% has access to toilets that safely separate human feces from human contact. This staggering statistic cannot be ignored. Some of the fundamental reality in today's Liberia still remain unchanged...Many of our poorer communities defecate in plastic bags that are disposed as 'FLYING TOILETS'! This possess a serious problem to the productivity of the country...This is a life threatening issue that needs immediate attention!  270+ people attended in support of this great cause.

RadioLIB 2011 Community Servant Recognition Program - July 16th, 2011

RadioLIB 1st Annual Community Servant Recognition Program was held at Kahler Hall in Columbia, Maryland. RadioLIB honored Mrs Gbomai Bestman-Johnson of the Gbomai Bestman Foundation, for her community service in helping enhance the health care and well being of new mothers and babies in rural Liberia. Also honored at the program was Mr. Edward Fahnbulleh of Fuel Youth Liberia, for his work in building elementary schools and providing clean drinking water in rural Liberia. Minister and Professor Gledy Badio Wariebi was the key note speaker at the event. She spoke on the need of Liberians to remember their underprivileged brothers and sisters left behind. The program helped to raise funds to provide scholarships for children in Liberia.

RadioLIB Annual Jamboree – 2nd Weekend in July

Recognizing the needs for Liberians in the Diaspora to reunite and reflect on childhood experiences as well as identifying with cultural activities, RadioLIB organizes a Jamboree every year. Many Liberians and well wishers reunite and have fun playing games and retrospecting on activities of the past. Activities at the event includes, nafo, soccer, kickball, musical selections, country cook, ludo, etc. This is an annual celebration that many Liberians look forward to experience.

RadioLIB sponsored Technology For Liberia: February 5th, 2011

RadioLIB was a proud media sponsor of Technology For Liberia event at the  University of Pennsylvania, Houston Hall, 3417 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. This event was to raise awareness about Technology for Liberia and to generate approximately $15,000 – $20,000 geared towards the implementation and delivery of TLF pilot technology center in Liberia.

RadioLib 1st Annual “Giving Campaign”: December 2010

RadioLib donated $1000 to United Liberia Outreach, winner of RadioLIB 2010 “Giving Campaign”  November 15 – December 15. This initiative was geared towards raising awareness for organizations that are doing outstanding work in the Liberian community. Five organizations were nominated to participate in this initiative: United Liberia Outreach, Smile Liberia, Technology for Liberia, Yes Liberia and The Gbomai Bestman Foundation. From November 15 - December 15. RadioLib launched a “Giving Campaign” to raise money to donate to the organization that got the highest vote of the process. RadioLIB raised $1000 with assistance from our many donors and donated it to the winner of the “Giving Campaign” – United Liberia Outreach.

RadioLIB 1st Anniversary: October 31st, 2010

The RadioLIB team visited the Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Landover Hills, MD to worship and give thanks to God for our one year of service.  During the program RadioLIB's Marketing Director, Cecelia Walker-Lutta presented a donation in the amount of $500 to the church on behalf of RadioLIB.  Giving back to improve the community is one of RadioLIB’s core values.


RadioLIB sponsored Friskies Fest 2010 Litmus Project Event: August 6th – 8th,  2010

RadioLIB served as one of the sponsors Friskies Fest Litmus Project event.  The Litmus project is geared towards the renovation of the  St. Theresa Convent's science lab. RadioLIB provided media services such as awareness & promotion for this event.

RadioLIB reaches out to friends and families in the community in terms of illnesses, bereavement and many other social issues. We extend prayers, cards and monetary contributions to people affected.
